Je crains qu'en cas qu'on fasse à la Diette la proposition de la Reine au nom de Notre Seigneur, de certains Sénateurs ne se trouvent offensés de ce que Sadite Majesté veut parvenir au Trône de Pologne sans faire aucun compte de leurs personnes en particulier, & qu'ils s'opposeront par cela même à notre dessein. C'est pourquoi il seroit à propos que la Reine écrivît une Lettre à chacun d'eux, en demandant leur voix, comme aussi qu'on donnât des Lettres de créance à qui S. M. & Votre Eminence le trouveroient bon: ce qui dépendra de l'envoi d'un Cardinal-Légat ou non. De pareilles Lettres pourroient être tenues secrétes, pour n'être présentées que quand il sera nécessaire, à tous ou à quelques-uns d'eux selon le besoin.

Jag fruktar, att för det fall drottningens förslag i Vår Herres namn framställs för rådet, kommer vissa rådsmännen att finna sig kränkta över att Hennes Majestät önskar komma till Polens tron ​​utan att ta hänsyn till särskilt deras personer, och att de därigenom kommer att motsätta sig vårt syfte. Det är därför som det vore lämpligt att drottningen skrev ett brev till var och en av dem och ber om deras röst, liksom att de skulle ges trovärdighetsbrev till vilka Hennes Majestät och Ers Eminens skulle anse det lämpligt, vilket kommer att bero på sändningen av en kardinal-legat eller ej. English translation (my own):

I fear that in the event that the Queen's proposal in the name of Our Lord is made to the Council, certain councilors will find themselves offended that Her Majesty wishes to come to the throne of Poland without taking any account of their persons in particular, and that they will thereby oppose our purpose. That is why it would be appropriate for the Queen to write a letter to each of them, asking for their vote, as also for letters of credence to be given to whom Her Majesty and Your Eminence would think fit, which will depend on the sending of a cardinal-legate or not. Such letters might be kept secret, to be presented only when necessary to all or to some of them, as need arises.
