Io gli replico che avverta di non muover un passo fuori della strada che da Vostra Serenità gli sarà prescritta; e qui resto augurandole, ecc.

J'ai reçu des Lettres du Pére Prieur, où il me mande qu'il a tout aussi-tôt obéi à vos ordres, en m'assurant de s'être conduit ensorte qu'on ne doit pas penser qu'il ait pu apporter quelque préjudice à l'affaire. Je lui ai repliqué qu'il ne devoit pas faire le moindre pas sans vous en avertir préalablement.
Swedish translation (my own):
Jag har fått brev från fadern prior, vari han meddelar mig att han omedelbart lydde Era befallningar, försäkrande att ha uppfört sig på ett sådant sätt att man inte skulle tro att han kunde ha medfört någon skada på affären. Jag har svarat honom att han inte får ta det minsta steg utan att berätta Er det först.
English translation (my own):
I have received letters from the Father Prior, in which he informs me that he immediately obeyed your orders, assuring me of having behaved in such a way that one should not think that he could have brought some damage to the affair. I have replied to him that he should not take the slightest step without telling you first.

Avec la lettre de Votre Sérénité du 13 du passé, j'en ai aussi reçu une du père prieur, qui me signifie qu'il s'est immédiatement obéi ses ordres, m'assurant qu'il a se porté de telle sorte qu'il n'y a aucun doute qu'il ait pu, de quelque manière que ce soit, préjudicié à l'affaire. Je lui réplique qu'il doit veiller à ne pas s'écarter, ne serait-ce que d'un pas, de la voie que lui prescrira Votre Sérénité; et je reste ici, lui souhaitant, etc.

Oprócz listu Waszej Wysokości z 13. dnia tego miesiąca otrzymałam również list od ojca przeora, który również daje mi znać, że natychmiast wykonał Wasze polecenia, zapewniając mnie, że zachował się w taki sposób, że nie ma wątpliwości, iż mógł w jakikolwiek sposób zaszkodzić sprawie. Odpowiadam mu, że musi uważać, aby nie zboczyć ani na krok z drogi, którą Wasza Wysokość wyznaczy; i pozostaję tu, życząc Wam itd.

Jag svarar honom att han måste vara försiktig så att han inte ens rör sig ett steg från den väg som Ers Durchlauchtighet kommer att föreskriva för honom; och jag förblir här, önskande Er osv.
