Lucas Holstenius's diary entry, dated October 24/November 3 (New Style), 1655

The diary entry:

3 mercurii die. Functio excipiendæ professionis Reginæ mane peracta. Nuntius de transitu a Venetis concesso. Sub nocte data fuit fabula Adonisii et Veneris.

French translation (my own):

3, mercredi. La fonction de recevoir la profession de la reine a été achevée dans la matinée. Passage accordé au nonce vénitien. Au cours de la nuit a été donné l'histoire d'Adonis et de Vénus.

Swedish translation (my own):

3, onsdagen. Funktionen att ta emot drottningens trosbekännelse avslutades på förmiddagen. Passage beviljad till den venetianske nuntien. Under natten gavs historien om Adonis och Venus.

English translation (my own):

3, Wednesday. The function of receiving the Queen's profession was completed in the morning. Passage granted to the Venetian nuncio. During the night was given the story of Adonis and Venus.
