Den frögd Jagh hafwer fattat öfwer Eders Kongl. Maij:tz wälferdh och lÿckelige reesa till Hamburg, hafwer migh förorsakat, om Express att afskicka min Cammarherre Baron Christopher Gÿllenstierna till att contestera min hugnat och glädie, och deslijkes Ed:s Kgl. M:tt förklara den sincere affection, gode hiertelag och skÿlldige respect som Jagh för Ed:s Kgl. M:tz höge persō drager, och den iag till min dödzstund bijbehållandes warder. Eders Kongl. Maij:tt beder iagh fördenskull kiärwänligen, bemelte Christopher Gÿllenstierna, icke allenast till sigh admittera och anhöra, vtan medh Kongl. faveur och nåde tillbaka remittera; som i det öfrige befaller Ed:s Kgl. Maij:tt i Gudz milde beskÿdd till all önskelig prosperitet och wälgångh. Datum etc.

Eders Kungliga Majestät beder jag fördenskull kärvänligen bemälte Christoffer Gyllenstierna icke allenast till sig admittera och anhöra, utan med kunglig favör och nåde tillbaka remittera, som i det övriga befaller Eders Kungliga Majestät i Guds milda beskydd till all önsklig prosperitet och välgång. La joie que j'ai ressentie du bien-être de Votre Majesté Royale et de son heureux voyage à Hambourg m'ont obligé à envoyer mon chambellan, le baron Christophe Gyllenstierna, pour contester mon enthousiasme et ma joie, et ainsi pour déclarer à Votre Majesté Royale l'affection sincère, le bon cœur et le dû respect qui j'ai pour la haute personne de Votre Majesté Royale et que je conserverai jusqu'à l'heure de ma mort. Je prie donc avec amour que Votre Majesté Royale non seulement admette ledit Christophe Gyllenstierna, mais qu'elle l'écoute [aussi] et le renvoie avec la faveur et la grâce royales. Au reste, je recommande Votre Majesté Royale à la douce protection de Dieu et à toute prospérité et bien-être souhaitables. Donné, etc.

Most Powerful Queen, my highly honoured and dearly beloved Lady Mother,
The joy I have felt at Your Royal Majesty's welfare and happy journey to Hamburg has caused me to send my chamberlain, Baron Christoffer Gyllenstierna, to contest my enthusiasm and joy, and to declare to Your Royal Majesty the sincere affection, good heart and due respect which I have for Your Royal Majesty's high person and which I will maintain until the hour of my death. I therefore lovingly beg that Your Royal Majesty will not only admit the aforementioned Christoffer Gyllenstierna to yourself, but that you will [also] listen to him and remit him back with royal favour and grace. For the rest, I commend Your Royal Majesty to God's gentle protection and to all desirable prosperity and well-being. Given, etc.

Note: In accordance with the nobility's ideals of friendship in the early modern era, kings and queens saw themselves as siblings; and because Kristina had adopted her/his/their cousin Karl Gustav, Karl's father, as her/his/their son in order to make him her/his/their heir, the boy inherited that title upon his father's death.
