"Enfin, la Reine reçut nouvelle du Marquis (Le 18. Février 1673. Neg. di Pol. p. 176.), qu'il avoit entre ses mains les expéditions de la confirmation du Recès, de l'exercice de la Religion, & de la justice contre Appelmann, les trois plus grands Articles qui avoient fait envoyer le Marquis del Monte en Suède.
Christine lui témoigna la vive joye qu'elle en ressentoit, en s'estimant heureuse d'avoir employé un Cavalier si fidéle & si honoré qu'il l'étoit, dans cette négociation, l'assurant que ses peines & ses fatigues ne seroient pas perdues."
"Finally, the Queen received news from the Marquis (February 18, 1673. Negoziati di Polonia, page 176.) that he had in his hands the expeditions [documents] for the confirmation of the recess, the exercise of religion, and the justice against Appelman, the three most important articles that had caused the Marquis del Monte to be sent to Sweden.
Kristina expressed to him the vivid joy she felt, esteeming herself happy to have employed such a faithful and honoured cavalier as he was in this negotiation, assuring him that his pains and fatigues would not be lost."

Però subito che avete aggiustati gl'interessi di Pomerania, venitevene con quella diligenza che vi sarà possibile; e Dio vi conservi e prosperi. Di Roma, li 18 febbraro 1673.

J'ai bien reçu vos lettres des 21 et 28 décembre et des 5 et 8 janvier, auxquelles je n'ai pas besoin de faire d'autre réponse à vous donner que la nouvelle que vous avez entre vos mains les expéditions de la confirmation du recès, de l'exercice de la religion et de la justice contre Appelman m'a réjoui au plus haut point que vous puissiez imaginer, me réservant de vous la faire connaître plus en détail lorsque vous serez ici, où je vous attends avec impatience. Cependant, dès que vous aurez ajusté les intérêts de la Poméranie, venez avec toute la diligence possible; et Dieu vous conserve et vous prospère. De Rome, le 18 février 1673.
Notre Carnaval s'est terminé en désordre par la mort de notre pauvre cardinal Roberti. J'ai ressenti cette perte jusqu'au plus profond de mon âme, car j'ai véritablement perdu un grand ami. Que Dieu préserve ceux qui restent pour nous revoir bientôt.

Jag har mottagit alla Era brev av den 21 och 28 december samt av den 5 och 8 januari, på vilka jag inte behöver ge något annat svar än att nyheten om att Ni har i Era händer expeditionerna av bekräftelsen av recessen, av religionsutövandet och av rättvisan mot Appelman har glatt mig i största utsträckning Ni kan tänka Er, och jag förbehåller mig att låta Er veta det bättre när Ni är här, där jag väntar Er med otålighet. Emellertid, så snart Ni har ordnat Pommerns intressen, kom med all den flit som är möjlig för Er; och Gud bevare och välsigne Er. Från Rom, den 18 februari 1673.

In the meantime, as soon as you have adjusted the interests of Pomerania, come with all the diligence that will be possible for you; and may God preserve and prosper you. From Rome, February 18, 1673.
Our Carnevale is ended in disorder by the death of our poor Cardinal Roberti. I have felt this loss down to my soul, for I have truly lost a great friend. May God preserve those who remain to see us again soon.

Note: Cardinal Carlo Roberti had passed away on February 4/14 (New Style), 1673. He was 68 years old.
