Le 2. Juillet 1678.

Monsieur le Prince Montecuculi, vos remercimens sur le bon accueil que j'ai fait au Seigneur Comte votre Fils, ont été reçus de moi avec toute l'estime que je dois à l'affection que vous m'avez toujours témoignée, vous assurant que je continuerai avec joie de vous donner & à votre Fils de véritables marques de mon amitié, & de la considération que j'ai pour vous, priant Dieu &c.

Swedish translation (my own):

Den 2 juli 1678.

Herr prins Montecuccoli,

Er tacksägelse för det varma välkomnande jag givit herr greven, Er son, har mottagits av mig med all den aktning jag har för den tillgivenhet som Ni alltid har visat mig, försäkrande Er om att jag med glädje kommer att fortsätta att ge Er och Er son sanna betygelser av min vänskap, och av den hänsyn jag har för Er, bedjande till Gud, osv.

English translation (my own):

July 2, 1678.

Lord Prince Montecuccoli,

Your thanks for the warm welcome I have given to the Lord Count, your son, have been received by me with all the esteem that I owe to the affection that you have always shown me, assuring you that I will continue with joy to to give you and your son true marks of my friendship, and of the consideration I have for you, praying to God, etc.
