Manoel de Egiareta ch'ella mi raccomanda con la sua lettera, farò conoscere con favorirlo nelle pretensioni ch'egli hà in questa Corte, quanta stima io faccia della persona e del di lei, merito assicurandola intanto, ch'io hò goduto molto dell'occasione ch'ella m'hà dato, di testificarle la mia cordialità verso di lei anche per corrisponder alle continuate dimostrazioni d'affetto, e di cortesia, ch'io ricevo dal Vice Rè suo consorte, e le prego da Dio ogni prosperità.

A don Manoel de Egiareta, qu'elle me recommande avec sa lettre, je ferai savoir avec faveur dans les prétentions qu'il a devant cette cour combien j'ai d'estime pour sa personne et celle d'elle, tandis que je mérite de lui assurer que j'ai beaucoup joui de l'occasion qu'elle m'a donnée de témoigner ma cordialité envers elle aussi pour correspondre aux continuelles démonstrations d'affection et de courtoisie que je reçois du vice-roi, son époux; et je prie pour elle toute prospérité de Dieu.

Signora viceregina, marchesa del Carpio, min kusine,
Till don Manoel de Egiareta, som Ni rekommenderar mig med Ert brev, skall jag med gunst göra tillkännagivande i de anspråk som han har i detta hov hur mycket aktning jag har för hans person och för Er, samtidigt som jag förtjänar att försäkra Er om att jag har åtnjutit mycket av det tillfälle som Ni har givit mig för att vittna om min hjärtlighet mot Er också för att motsvara de ständiga uppvisningar av tillgivenhet och artighet som jag får från vicekonungen, Er gemål; och jag ber för Er allt välstånd från Gud.

Signora viceregina, marchesa del Carpio, my cousin,
To Don Manoel de Egiareta, whom you recommend to me with your letter, I will make known with favour in the pretensions that he has in this court how much esteem I have for his person and that of you, while I deserve to assure you that I have enjoyed much of the occasion that you have given me to testify my cordiality towards you also to correspond to the continuous demonstrations of affection and courtesy that I receive from the Viceroy, your consort; and I pray for you all prosperity from God.

Note: In accordance with the nobility's ideals in the early modern era, kings and queens considered themselves siblings; when talking to someone of a lower rank than their own, they would refer to that person as "my cousin", regardless of whether or not they were related.
