Madame Grimani, j'ai reçu avec plaisir la nouvelle que vous m'avez donnée de votre arrivée à Venise, aussi-bien que les expressions dont vous l'avez accompagnée; & comme j'estime votre affection, je vous en demande la continuation, vous assurant que j'y répondrai par la tendresse & l'estime que je conserverai toujours pour votre personne, priant Dieu qu'il vous tienne en sa sainte garde.

Den 11 juli 1671.
Madama Grimani,
Jag har med nöje mottagit de nyheter som Ni givit mig om Er ankomst till Venedig, samt de uttryck med vilka Ni har åtföljt den; och såsom jag uppskattar Er tillgivenhet, ber jag Er att fortsätta med den, försäkrande Er om att jag kommer att svara på den med den ömhet och aktning som jag alltid kommer att behålla för Er person, bedjande Gud att han har Er i sin heliga vård.
English translation (my own):
July 11, 1671.
Madama Grimani,
I have received with pleasure the news which you have given me of your arrival in Venice, as well as the expressions with which you have accompanied it; and as I esteem your affection, I beg you to continue it, assuring you that I will respond to it with the tenderness and esteem that I will always keep for your person, praying God that He have you in His holy keeping.
