Jag har sådan hänsyn till Er och för Ert hus att jag har uppskattat mycket möjligheterna att bevisa det med de ämbeten som inskjutits till förmån för det med konungen av England; men Er tacksägelse är så överväldigande för det jag har gjort att ju mer min önskan om andra mer relevanta konjunkturer ökar, så att jag bättre kan betyga Er om fullheten av min vilja mot Er och Er familj, önskande Er emellertid sanna välstånd.
English translation (my own):

Monsignor,
I have such consideration for you and for your house that I have greatly appreciated the opportunities to prove it with the offices interposed in favour of it with the King of England; but your thanks is so overwhelming to what I have done that the more my desire for other more relevant conjunctures increases, so that I can better testify to you the fullness of my will towards you and your family, wishing you true prosperities in the meantime.
