Ma Cousine, votre souvenir m'est assez cher, pour aimer les obligeantes marques que vous m'en avez données. Je vous en remercie de tout mon cœur, & vous proteste que je ne laisserai jamais passer aucune occasion de vous témoigner l'estime & l'amitié particuliére que je vous conserverai toute ma vie, priant Dieu qu'il vous tienne, ma Cousine, en sa sainte & digne garde.
Swedish translation (my own):
Den 12 mars 1672.
Min kusine,
Ert minne är kärt nog för mig för att älska de vänliga betygelser Ni har givit mig av det. Jag tackar Er för det av hela mitt hjärta, och jag försäkrar Er att jag aldrig kommer att missa något tillfälle att betyga Er om den aktning och den speciella vänskap som jag kommer att behålla för Er hela mitt liv, och ber Gud att han har Er, min kusine, i hans heliga och värdiga vård.
English translation (my own):
March 12, 1672.
My cousin,
Your memory is dear enough to me to love the obliging marks you have given me of it. I thank you for it with all my heart, and I assure you that I will never miss any opportunity to testify to you the esteem and the special friendship that I will keep for you all my life, praying God that He have you, my cousin, in His holy and worthy keeping.

Note: In accordance with the nobility's ideals in the early modern era, kings and queens considered themselves siblings; when talking to someone of a lower rank than their own, they would refer to that person as "my cousin", regardless of whether or not they were related.
