Don Domingo de Gusmann, vous en avez agi si honnêtement dans l'affaire de l'accommodement du Sieur Curzio Franciotti, que cela m'oblige à vous demander d'avoir pour moi la même complaisance à l'égard du Sieur Stéphano Spada, qui a pour vous tous les sentimens d'estime & de considération que vous pouvez desirer. J'ai de puissans motifs pour m'intéresser avec passion à ce qui touche ce Gentilhomme. C'est pourquoi je vous prie en ma considération d'oublier tous les mécontentemens passés, & d'être persuadé que ce sera m'obliger que d'embrasser avec joie toutes les occasions de vous favoriser, priant Dieu &c.

Don Domingo de Guzman,

Ni har handlat så ärligt i affären med signor Curzio Franciottis ackommodation att detta förpliktar mig att be Er att visa mig samma vänlighet med avseende på signor Stefano Spada, som har för Er all den aktning och omtanke som Ni kan önska. Jag har mäktiga motiv för att intressera mig för det som berör denne herre. Det är därför jag ber Er i min konsideration att glömma allt tidigare missnöje och att vara övertygad om att det är att förplikta mig att med glädje omfamna alla tillfällen att gynna Er, bedjande till Gud, osv.

English translation (my own):

April 21, 1674.

Don Domingo de Guzman,

You have acted so honestly in the affair of the accommodation of Signor Curzio Franciotti that this obliges me to ask you to show me the same kindness with regard to Signor Stefano Spada, who has for you all the feelings of esteem and consideration that you can desire. I have powerful motives for taking a passionate interest in what concerns this gentleman. This is why I beg you in my consideration to forget all past discontentments and to be persuaded that it will be obliging me to embrace with joy all the occasions of favouring you, praying to God, etc.
