Johannes Matthiæ's diary report entry on Kristina and Eleonora Katarina having recited two Latin speeches, dated May 11, 1639

The diary entry:

Die 11. Maji recitavit Regina precationem Romuli ad Jovem Statorem, ut Romanis adversus Sabinos ferat opem. Princeps verò recitavit verba Proculi Juli ad Populum Romanum consolationis plena ex I. Libro Livii.

French translation (my own):

Le 11 mai, la reine récita la prière de Romulus à Jupin Stator, afin qu'il secoure les Romains contre les Sabins. La princesse récita véritablement les paroles consolatrices de Procule Jules au peuple romain, du premier livre de Tite-Live.

Swedish translation (my own):

Den 11 maj reciterade drottningen Romulus' bön till Jove Stator, att han skulle hjälpa romarna mot sabinerna. Prinsessan reciterade verkligen Proculus Julius' tröstande ord till det romerska folket, från den första boken av Livius.

English translation (my own):

On the 11th of May, the Queen recited the prayer of Romulus to Jove Stator, that he might help the Romans against the Sabines. The Princess verily recited the consoling words of Proculus Julius to the Roman people, from the first book by Livy.
