Johannes Matthiæ's diary report entry on on Kristina and Eleonora Katarina having recited two Latin speeches, dated May 28, 1640

The diary entry:

Anno 1640, die 28. Maji recitavit Regina in Swartsio Orationem Alexandri ad Amicos ex Libro VII. Curtii: «Discrimen me occupavit. .&c.» Princeps verò Orationem Cobaris ad Bessum ex eodem Authore, eodemque Libro recitavit: «Natura mortalium &c.»

French translation (my own):

En 1640, le 28 mai, à Svartsjö, la reine récite le discours d'Alexandre à ses amis du livre 7 de Curce: «Discrimen me occupavit, etc.» La princesse récita véritablement le discours de Cobarus à Bessus, du même auteur, et du même livre: «Natura mortalium, etc.»

Swedish translation (my own):

År 1640, den 28 maj vid Svartsjö, reciterade drottningen Alexanders tal till sina vänner ur bok 7 av Curtius: »Discrimen me occupavit, etc.« Prinsessan reciterade sannerligen Cobarus' tal till Bessus, från samme författare, och från samma bok: »Natura mortalium, etc.«

English translation (my own):

In 1640, on the 28th of May, at Svartsjö, the Queen recited Alexander's speech to his friends from book 7 by Curtius: "Discrimen me occupavit, etc." The Princess verily recited Cobarus' speech to Bessus, from the same author, and from the same book: "Natura mortalium, etc."
