Noi in uirtù della presente da ualere quanto instrumento publico dichiariamo e uogliamo che per sicurtà di tutta la Somma del denaro, che il Nostro Residente Don Manoel Texeira auanza da Noi Sin al p[rese]nte giorno, e di quel più, che auanzerà da Noi in auuenire per il denaro, che ci rimetterà di mese in mese p[er] la n[ost]ra Sussistenza in conformità dell'vltimo Contratto, Stabilito trà di Noi in Hamburgo Sotto li 18. d'Ott[ob]re 1668. restino obligato, et hipotecati non solo tutti li nostri Mobili; et effetti di Roma di qualunq[ue] Sorte si Siano; mà anco uogliamo che per magg[io]r sicurezza Sua gli restino obligate et hipotecate, gl'istesso effetto tutto le n[ost]re Gioie, che stanno impegnate in Holanda per quel che vagliono di più; dichiarando però che durante la n[ost]ra uita non possa egli pretendere, ne valersi delli n[ost]ri mobili, et effetti di Roma, ne delle n[ost]re Gioie d'Holanda in alc[un]o modo senza n[ost]ro special consenso. mà goda solo del frutto del Suo auanzo à rag[io]ne di 4. per 100. Secondo il contratto. Per osservanza delle predete cose obblighiamo nella più ampla forma che si può la Nostra real parola. In fede di che abbiamo segnata la presente di Nostra real mano e fattala munire col Nostro Sigillo Regio. Data in Roma, li 4 aprile 1676. —

En vertu de la présente lettre, valable comme acte public, Nous déclarons et voulons que, pour la sécurité de la totalité de la somme d'argent que Notre résident don Manuel Texeira Nous avance jusqu'à ce jour, et d'autant plus il avancera de Notre part à l'avenir l'argent qu'il Nous remettra de mois en mois pour Notre subsistance conformément au dernier contrat établi entre Nous à Hambourg le 18 octobre 1668, que non seulement tous Nos meubles et effets en Rome, quelle qu'elle soit, restent obligés et hypothéqués; mais Nous voulons aussi que, pour sa plus grande sécurité, tous Nos joyaux qui sont gagés en Hollande pour ce qu'ils valent le plus lui restent obligés et hypothéqués, avec le même effet, déclarant cependant que de Notre vivant il ne peut réclamer ni faire usage de Nos meubles et effets de Rome, ni de Nos joyaux de Hollande en aucune manière sans Notre consentement spécial, mais ne pourra jouir que du fruit de son surplus à raison de 4 pour 100, selon le contrat.
Nous souhaitons que, lorsqu'il plaît à Dieu de disposer autrement de Nous et que Notre même résident reste Notre créancier, il soit préféré à tout autre pour être payé, et pleinement satisfait par Notre héritier de tout ce qu'il Nous avancera. Pour le respect desdites choses ci-dessus, Nous obligeons Notre royale parole sous la forme la plus large possible. En foi de quoi, Nous avons signé ce présent de Notre main royale et fait qu'il soit apposé de Notre Sceau Royal. Donné à Rome, le 4 avril 1676. —

Vi, i kraft av detta brev, giltigt som ett offentligt instrument, förklarar och önskar Vi att för säkerheten för hela summan pengar som Vår resident don Manuel Texeira förskotterar från Oss fram till idag, och desto mer som han kommer i fortsättningen att förskottera från Oss för de pengar, som han från månad till månad till Oss för Vårt uppehälle i enlighet med det sista kontraktet upprättat mellan Oss i Hamburg den 18 oktober 1668, att inte bara alla Våra möbler och föremål i Rom av något slag förblir skyldigt och intecknat; utan Vi vill också att för hans större säkerhet alla Våra juveler som är pantsatta i Holland för vad de är mest värda förbli skyldiga och intecknade till honom, med samma verkan, dock förklarande att han under Vår livstid inte kan göra anspråk på eller göra användning av Våra möbler och föremål från Rom, inte heller av Våra juveler i Holland på något sätt utan Vårt särskilda samtycke, men får bara njuta av frukten av sitt överskott till en kurs av 4 per 100, enligt kontraktet.
Vi önskar att när det behagar Gud att disponera Oss på ett annat sätt och att Vår samme resident förblir Vår kreditor, så skall han föredras framför någon annan när det gäller att få betalt, och fullt tillfredsställd av Vår arvinge med vad han än kommer att förskottera från Oss. För iakttagandet av de förutnämnda sakerna förpliktar Vi Vårt kungliga ord i största möjliga form. We, in virtue of this present letter, valid as a public instrument, We declare and want that, for the security of the entire sum of money that Our resident Don Manuel Texeira advances from Us up to the present day, and of the more that he will advance from Us in the future for the money which he will remit to Us from month to month for Our subsistence in accordance with the last contract established between Us in Hamburg on October 18, 1668, that not only all Our furniture and effects in Rome of any kind remain obligated and mortgaged; but We also want that, for his greater security, all our jewels which are pledged in Holland for what they are worth most remain obligated and mortgaged to him, with the same effect, declaring, however, that during Our lifetime he cannot claim or make use of Our furniture and effects of Rome, nor of Our jewels of Holland in any way without Our special consent, but may only enjoy the fruit of his surplus at the rate of 4 per 100, according to the contract.
We wish that when it pleases God to dispose to Us differently and that Our same resident remain Our creditor, he should be preferred to any other in being paid, and fully satisfied by Our heir of whatever he will advance from Us. For observance of the aforementioned things We oblige Our royal word in the widest possible form. For further assurance We have signed this present with Our royal hand and caused it to be affixed with Our Royal Seal. Given in Rome, April 4, 1676. —
