The diary entry:

21. Mane pransi in arce Revere; iterum Padum trajeci et currum conduxi qui me Hostilia Ferrariam perduceret; ita cœlo pluvio viaque lutosissima Figarolum sub noctem pervenimus; in itinere statim ubi Hostilia discessimus, literas per cursorem accepi ut reginam eo die si fieri posset Hostiliæ subsistere procurarem, ne imparatos nuntios Figaroli opprimeret Illi sub vespera reginæ occurrentes ad locum [...] dictum cum curru, lectica et gestatoria sella. Figaroli omnia in consulta neque satis parata offendimus ob ministrorum imperitiam. Eo venit Dnus Innocentius Contigenusalis.

French translation (my own):

21. Le matin nous avons dîné au château de Roveré; je repassai le Pô et louai une voiture pour me conduire à Ostiglia pour Ferrare; ainsi, sous un ciel pluvieux et par une route très boueuse, nous arrivâmes à Figarolo à la tombée de la nuit; sur la route, dès notre départ d'Ostiglia, je reçus des lettres par courrier pour faire en sorte que la reine séjourne à Ostiglia ce jour-là, si possible, afin qu'elle n'accable pas Figarolo de la nouvelle de sa réception. A Figarolo, nous trouvâmes tout en consultation pas tout à fait prêt, par suite de l'inexpérience des domestiques. Puis vint don Innocenzio Conti de Duchi de Poli.

21. På morgonen åt vi på slottet Roveré; jag gick återigen över Po och hyrde en vagn för att föra mig från Ostiglia till Ferrara; sålunda, under en regnig himmel och på en mycket lerig väg, nådde vi Figarolo vid kvällen; på vägen, så snart vi lämnade Ostiglia, fick jag brev med kurir för att ordna så att drottningen om möjligt stannade på Ostiglia den dagen, så att hon inte skulle överväldiga Figarolo med nyheten om hennes mottagande. På Figarolo fann vi allt i samråd inte riktigt klart, på grund av tjänsternas oerfarenhet. Sedan kom don Innocenzio Conti de Duchi de Poli.

English translation (my own):

21. In the morning we dined at the castle of Roveré; I again crossed the Po, and hired a carriage to bring me from Ostiglia to Ferrara; thus, under a rainy sky and on a very muddy road, we reached Figarolo by nightfall; on the road, as soon as we left Ostiglia, I received letters by courier to arrange for the Queen to stay at Ostiglia that day, if possible, so that she would not overwhelm Figarolo with the news of her reception. At Figarolo we found everything in consultation not quite ready, owing to the inexperience of the servants. Then came Don Innocenzio Conti de Duchi de Poli.
