Le 11. Mars 1684.
Monsieur le Procureur Vallier, je ne puis pas m'empêcher de vous écrire la présente en faveur du Docteur Lucas Antonio Porzio, qui prétend à une place de Lecteur en Médecine vacante dans le Collége de Padoue, espérant de l'obtenir si vous lui donnez certaine attestation qui lui est nécessaire. Je vous prie de le protéger & de le favoriser autant qu'il mérite de l'être, vous assurant que je vous saurai bon gré des bontés que vous aurez pour lui à ma considération, & je prie Dieu qu'il vous tienne en sa sainte garde.

Den 11 mars 1684.
Herr prokurator Vallier,
Jag kan inte avstå från att skriva detta nuvarande brev till Er till förmån för doktor Luca Antonio Porzio, som gör anspråk på en ledig tjänst som lektor i medicin vid kollegiet i Padua, i hopp om att få det om Ni ger honom ett visst intyg som är nödvändigt. Jag ber Er att skydda och gynna honom så mycket som han förtjänar att vara, försäkrande Er om att jag kommer att vara Er tacksam för den vänlighet Ni kommer att ha mot honom i min omtanke, och jag ber Gud att han har Er i sin heliga vård.
English translation (my own):
March 11, 1684.
Lord Procurator Vallier,
I cannot refrain from writing this present letter to you in favour of Dr. Luca Antonio Porzio, who is claiming a vacant position as lecturer in medicine in the College of Padua, hoping to obtain it if you give him a certain attestation which is necessary. I beg you to protect and favour him as much as he deserves to be, assuring you that I will be grateful to you for the kindness you will have for him in my consideration, and I pray God that He have you in His holy keeping.
