R. accompagnato da me con la presente l'Abbate di Chevremont; Il quale essendosi imaginato ch'io sapessi esser Gentilhuomo Lorenese di nascita, si è rivolto a' miei Ufficj per ottener da V. A. R. qualche impiego nel di lei servitio; Parendomi però che meriti d'esser ajutato e favorito, lo raccomando alla sua protezione con particolar premura, assicurandola che delle gratie, le quali ella gli compartirà per mio riguardo, io mi professerò tenuta alla sua cortesia, ed in tanto mi confermo.

Parendomi però che meriti d'esser aiutato e favorito, lo raccomando alla sua protezione con particolar premura, assicurandola che delle grazie, le quali ella gli compartirà per mio riguardo, io mi professerò tenuta alla sua cortesia, ed in tanto mi confermo.

Cependant, comme il me semble qu'il mérite d'être aidé et favorisé, je le recommande à sa protection avec un soin particulier, l'assurant que je lui ferai profession de lui être obligée de sa courtoisie des grâces qu'elle partagera avec lui en mon régard, et cependant je confirme.

However, as it seems to me that he deserves to be helped and favoured, I recommend him to your protection with particular care, assuring you that I will profess to be obliged to your courtesy of the graces which you will share with him for my sake, and in the meantime I confirm.

Note: In accordance with the nobility's ideals in the early modern era, kings and queens considered themselves siblings; when talking to someone of a lower rank than their own, they would refer to that person as "my cousin", regardless of whether or not they were related.
