Monsieur Zaccarie Grimani, il y a long-tems que le Sieur Luc Antonio Pozzy s'est, par son savoir, rendu digne de ma protection, ayant desiré que je vous le fisse connoître, pour avoir quelque appui à Venise, où il est à present, afin de satisfaire sa curiosité: j'ai bien voulu vous le recommander, vous priant de le considérer & de le favoriser comme une personne qui est à moi, & vous assurant que je veux bien vous savoir gré de toutes les bontés que vous aurez pour lui à ma considération. Ajoutez-y l'état que je fais de votre personne, priant Dieu qu'il vous tienne en sa sainte garde.

Swedish translation (my own):

Signor Zaccaria Grimani,

Signor Luca Antonio Pozzi har för länge sedan gjort sig värdig mitt skydd, efter att ha önskat att jag skulle presentera honom för er för att få lite stöd i Venedig, där han är för närvarande, för att tillfredsställa sin nyfikenhet. Jag var god nog att rekommendera honom till Er, bedjande Er att överväga honom och att gynna honom som en person som är min, och försäkrande Er att jag är mycket tacksam mot Er för all den vänlighet Ni kommer att ha mot honom i min omtanke. Lägg därtill den aktning som jag har för Er person, bedjande till Gud att han har Er i sin heliga vård.

English translation (my own):

Signor Zaccaria Grimani,

Signor Luca Antonio Pozzi has long since made himself worthy of my protection, having desired that I introduce him to you in order to have some support in Venice, where he is at present, in order to satisfy his curiosity. I was good enough to recommend him to you, begging you to consider him and to favour him as a person who is mine, and assuring you that I am very grateful to you for all the kindnesses you will have for him in my consideration. Add to this the esteem that I have for your person, praying to God that He have you in His holy keeping.
