Dilectæ in Christo filiæ Nobili Mulieri Archiducissæ Austriæ. Alexander Papa VII. Dilecta in Christo filia Nobilis Mulier salutem, & Apostolicam benedictionĕ. In mandatis, quæ dilecto filio Lucæ Holstenio Domestico nostro, Prothonario Apostolico, Basilicæ Sancti Pet[r]is Canonico, & Bibliothecæ Vaticanæ Custodi dedimus occasione rerum maximarum, quas illi in Germania peragendas commisimus, præcipuè habetur, vt Nobilitatem Tuam nostro nomine inuisat, deque nostra in te propterea voluntate luculenter erudiat. Hanc significationem plurimi à te fieri, & nos constanter credimus, & Nobilitas Tua cumulatissimè declarabit, si Virum egregria fide, ac probitate, omnibusqu[e] bonis artibus expolitum benignè exceperis, tuaque auctoritate vbi opus fuerit, officijsque tuebere, Quod vt præstes, etiam atque etiam à Nobilitate Tua petimus, cui Apostolicam benedictionem peramanter impartimur. I de instruktioner som Vi givit till Vår älskade son Lucas Holstenius, Vår domestike apostoliske protonotär, kanonisk i Peterskyrkan och vårdnadshavare för Vårt Vatikanbibliotek, med anledning av de stora saker som Vi har anförtrott honom att utföra i Tyskland, det är särskilt uttalat att han bör besöka Ers Höghet i Vårt namn, och för att tydligt låta Er veta om vår tillgivenhet för Er. with other commands given to our beloved Son Luke Holstenius of our houshold, principall Apostolicall Notary, Canon of the Church of St. Peter, and Keeper of our Vatican Library, by the occasion of great affairs to be manag'd by him in Germany; 'tis given him in charge in a principall manner to visit your nobleness in our name, and clearly inform you of our affection to you. That this our advertisement is valued by you; we both constantly believe and your noblenesse will abundantly make good, if you gratiously entertain the Bearer herself, and with your authority, and favours, where need shall require, defend and assist him; he being a person of singular faith and honesty, and polished exactly with all good arts. Which that you will do, we again and again request of your noblenesse, to whom we very lovingly impart our Apostolicall benediction.

This mark being most trusted by you, We constantly believe, and Your Nobility will prove it abundantly, that you will graciously receive him who is refined in faith, honesty, and all good arts, and that you will defend him by your authority, if necessary. That you may do this, We ask again and again from Your Highness, to whom We bestow Our apostolic blessing.
