Messieurs. Comme je suis très-bien informé[e] que parmi Mrs. les Sénateurs que j'ai établis Tuteurs de mon cher Fils, le Seigneur Prince Charles, aussi bien qu'entre le reste des Sénateurs, il s'en trouve plusieurs, qui sont entièrement livrés à la France, je ne puis me dispenser de les éxhorter à rester fermement attachés aux alliances que j'ai conclues, les trouvant les plus sûres & les plus avantageuses à la Suède. La France m'a trompé une fois & après y avoir été attrapé[e], je n'y retournerai plus. Je vous conseille de même, Messieurs, de vous tenir en garde contre les intrigues & contre les factions, de rester Suédois, & en recherchant la bienveillance de mon fils, de demeurer attachés à l'intérêt & au bien de la Patrie. C'est à quoi je vous éxhorte tous en général & chacun en particulier, vous priant au nom de Dieu, de ne pas oublier ce dernier avis.

English translation (my own):

Gentlemen,

As I am very well informed that among the senators whom I have made guardians of my dear son, the Lord and Prince Karl, as well as among the rest of the senators, there are several who are entirely delivered to France; I cannot refrain from exhorting them to remain firmly committed to the alliances I have made, finding them the most secure and the most beneficial to Sweden. France cheated me once, and after being trapped there, I won't return there anymore. I advise you in the same way, gentlemen, to beware of intrigues and against factions, to remain Swedish, and, while seeking the benevolence of my son, to remain attached to the interest and the good of the Fatherland. This is what I urge you all in general and to each in particular, begging you in God's name not to forget this last advice.

Note: In Swedish Kristina addressed Karl as her/his/their son. Because Kristina had adopted her cousin Karl Gustav, Karl's father, as her/his/their son in order to make him her/his/their heir, he inherited that title upon his father's death.
