The letter excerpt:

Je charge Clairet de ces lignes par Courier, & vous ordonne qu'à son arrivée vous vous mettiez en chemin pour retourner en Italie, sans perdre un moment. Obéissez, & faites toute la diligence possible &c.

J'espére que cette Lettre vous trouvera à Hambourg, ou proche de-là, autrement cela me déplaîroit assez. Cependant quelque part que vous soyez, retournez toujours gaillardement.

Swedish translation (my own):

Jag anförtror Clairet med dessa linjer med kurir, och jag beordrar Er att Ni vid hans ankomst ger Er iväg för att återvända till Italien, utan att slösa ett ögonblick. Lyda, och gör alla möjliga flit, osv.

Jag hoppas att detta brev kommer att finna Er i Hamburg eller nära där, annars skulle jag bli ganska missnöjd. Emellertid, var Ni än är, återvänd alltid glatt.

English translation (my own):

I charge Clairet with these lines by courier, and I order you that upon his arrival you set out to return to Italy, without wasting a moment. Obey, and do all possible diligence, etc.

I hope this letter will find you in Hamburg, or close to there, otherwise I would be quite displeased by it. In the meantime, wherever you are, always return cheerfully.
