MADAME MA SŒUR,

Le mémoire de Votre Majesté m'a été lu, et tout aussitôt ayant pris autant d'intérêt qu'elle même aux deux chefs qu'il contient, j'ai mandé au sieur de Pomponne d'employer mon nom, ses offices et toute son industrie pour les faire réussir à la satisfaction de Votre Majesté. Il aura l'honneur de Lui écrire pour l'informer de ses soins et du progrès de ses diligences; mais je ne laisse pas de lui ordonner de m'en rendre compte aussi, pour en user dans la suite comme on peut faire dans les choses que l'on a le plus à cœur. Enfin Votre Majesté peut s'assurer qu'en ce rencontre non plus qu'aux autres, qui La regarderont, Je n'oublierai rien pour Lui témoigner par des preuves effectives la parfaite estime et l'amitié solide et cordiale, avec laquelle Je suis,

Ers Majestäts memorandum lästes upp för mig, och efter att omedelbart ha intresserat er lika mycket för de två viktigaste sakerna som det innehåller, sände jag bud till monsieur de Pomponne att använda mitt namn, hans ämbeten och all hans industri för att få dem att lyckas med Ers Majestäts tillfredsställelse. Han skall få äran att skriva till Er för att informera Er om sin omsorg och om framstegen i hans flit; men jag slutar inte beordra honom att också inse det, att använda det senare som man kan göra i de saker som man har mest på hjärtat. Slutligen kan Ers Majestät försäkra sig om att jag i denna rencontre, inte mer än i de andra som skall regardera Er, icke skall glömma att vittna för er genom effektiva bevis den fullkomliga aktningen och den solida och hjärtliga vänskap varmed jag är,

Your Majesty's memorandum was read to me, and immediately having taken as much interest as yourself in the two chief things it contains, I sent word to Monsieur de Pomponne to use my name, his offices and all his industry to make them succeed to Your Majesty's satisfaction. He will have the honour of writing to you to inform you of his care and of the progress of his diligence; but I do not stop ordering him to realise it also, to use it later as one can do in the things that one has most at heart. Finally, Your Majesty can assure yourself that in this rencontre, no more than in the others that will regard you, I will not forget to testify to you by effective proofs the perfect esteem and the solid and cordial friendship, with which I am,
